Youth Rugby Pilot

We’re excited to (finally) be launching TAP – with a pilot in youth rugby!

It’s a moment we’ve been looking forward to and after lots of conversations, planning and work, we’re excited to see how TAP can complement youth sports.

A beginning we can build on together

Our ambition has always been to help young athletes, families and sporting organisations connect more easily. The pilot is our opportunity to learn how well that ambition translates into everyday experience.

Can families find the information they need? Can organisations make their opportunities easier to discover? Where can we make things clearer, simpler or more useful?

We want to understand what works and where there’s more work to do. Hearing directly from the people using TAP will help us make those decisions with care.

For us, that’s what makes this stage so exciting. The people joining the pilot will help shape what TAP becomes.

The same principles, put into practice

As we take this next step, the values behind TAP remain the same. Safeguarding, transparency and a commitment to putting young people first will continue to guide how we develop the platform.

We know that trust is earned through everyday actions: listening carefully, responding thoughtfully and being honest about what we’re learning. This pilot is an opportunity to put those principles into practice and build on them as we grow.

We also know that every sporting journey is different. A parent looking for a first local club may need something quite different from an athlete exploring their next step, or an organisation hoping to reach more young people. Understanding those differences matters if we’re going to build something useful.

Thank you for being part of the beginning

To everyone who has shared an idea, asked a question, offered encouragement or challenged us to think more carefully: thank you. Those conversations have helped bring TAP to this point.

There’s still plenty to learn and plenty to do. But reaching this milestone gives us a moment to appreciate how far the idea has come, and to look forward to what happens when people begin using it.

We’re proud to be opening this next chapter, and excited to build it with you.
